Lauren’s litter was a group effort between Alpenglow, Cathy Palmer (ThunderMtn) and Butch Engel (Ryzingstar) The plan was for Courtney to give us plenty of warning and I’d drive the 200 or so miles from Boulder to Cedaredge CO, deliver puppies, and spend a couple days with Cathy. What actually happened was that Lauren was 2nd in a litter of 3 baby beagle girls delivered into this world by Cathy and her vet as I drove over the mountain passes on I-70 in what was thankfully good, late fall CO weather. Courtney gave us virtually no warning and the first born puppy was stuck in the birth canal just long enough for all of us to think a C-section was imminent. Thankfully, she delivered all 3 naturally, and I arrived just in time for dinner and to cuddle 3 beautiful babies. I can never thank Cathy enough for our “Bug” Lauren in owned by Liz, Barry and Cathy and we look forward to her ring debut in 2010
