"Jester"
Read
about his encounter with a
mountain lion
 |
Jester
re-entered the show ring in Albuquerque, NM on May 10th
and 11th.
On 5/16, he was diagnosed with a ruptured
disc between L2 and L3, a probable complication of the mountain
lion incident in December. |
Jester is
recovering nicely from his back surgery on 5/19/08.
Thanks to
everyone for your notes and expressions of concern. As you can
imagine, his biggest challenge currently is resting and staying
quiet.
Jester was
born just prior to Christmas 2003. I had absolutely no
intention of adding another dog to my home at that time. In
February, I was asked to look at and evaluate a litter of
puppies I had co-bred with Robin Wescher. I remember looking
down into the puppy pen and watching this handsome male puppy
wrestling with a littermate. I reached down, picked him up, and
it was love at first sight. 2 weeks later he came home with
me, just in time for Valentines Day and proceeded to take over
our nice quiet household. Named Jester for his complete
clown-like behavior and Outta Control as the most appropriate
choice from a list provided me by Robin, he started his show
career August of 2004.
He finished
in 3 weekends of shows at 8 months of age with 2, 5 point majors
including best of winners and best in sweeps at the RMBC
specialty. Since then Jester has continued to do us proud.
Always breeder/owner handled, he is a group winner, multiple
group placer, 2 time specialty AOM winner and has qualified for
the Eukanuba Invitational Twice. Jester is a stand up showman
with great balance and effortless flowing movement which truly
makes him stand out in a crowd.
He now is
enjoying semi-retirement and learning Rally and Agility for
fun.
